Going To The Temple- April 4, 2013

Going to the temple was such an overwhelming but AMAZING experience! Once i got my call I saw that I only had 6 weeks till I left, and to my luck the temple that I planned on going to was closed for the majority of April. So my choices were to hurry and go before it closed or to wait until right before I leave to go. I wanted to be able to go as much as I could before I left so I chose to go on April 4th. I was so amazed by how my whole family changed their plans on such short notice to be there. that was a Thursday which works better for my family but not for most people but all of my family members that could came all the way down to Manti, Utah just to be there for me. On the ride over I started to get a little panicked. I had read the scriptures my dad told me to read and I had taken Temple Prep (Twice!) but like I said in my last post i'm a control freak so going into the unknown was terrifying! Once I got there though I felt such peace, being in the house of god just has that effect on you. The workers are so nice and they understand that since its your first time you have no idea and they are more then willing to help you in every way. I'm glad I decided to focus on the spirit instead of trying to remember everything that happened. I decided to have only family attend because it was such a sacred thing that I didn't want to sit there and focus on who was coming or who to invite. I wanted to be surrounded by people who will always love and support me and i'm so happy i made that decision. It was so special! It was so amazing and i'm so glad that I decided to go early so I have had a least one opportunity to go again and hopefully more before I leave!

My Amazing parents who have always been so supportive

Getting ready to go in. It was so windy that day!
